Often when you're in the middle of a break up, the love you once felt for your boyfriend might seem as though it's slipped away. In the heat of the moment anger can take over and it can overshadow everything else you are feeling. When me and my boyfriend broke up I didn't realize at the time how deeply I still cared for him. First I turned to friends who almost all offered the same advice. They told me to call him and ask him to consider trying again. I did this, more than once, and it only resulted in my ex becoming frustrated and angry with me. This wasn't easy but it was helpful. What I did was I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't contact him for a week. So instead of approaching it as a week long exercise, I did it one day at a time. I woke up each day with the intention of not contacting him.
